How does QR code ordering work?

Your staff generates a QR code on the kiosk screen after the customer selects their products. The customer scans it with their phone and enters their own shipping address on a simple form. The address syncs back to your dashboard in real time — no handwriting, no typos.

What happens if the WiFi goes down at the convention center?

Shipyie stores everything locally on your device. Orders, product data, and the order queue all work offline. When your connection returns, everything syncs automatically to the cloud. You will never lose an order because of bad WiFi.

Which shipping carriers are supported?

Shipyie integrates with EasyPost and Shippo for automated label generation with rate comparison across USPS, UPS, FedEx, and more. You can also export orders as a PirateShip-compatible CSV for manual processing.

Can my staff use it without training?

The kiosk mode is designed for zero training. Large product cards, simple quantity buttons, and a guided checkout flow mean your staff can start taking orders immediately. Admin features are behind a PIN so customers cannot accidentally access them.

How does the kiosk mode work?

Kiosk mode is a full-screen, touch-optimized interface. Your products display as large cards with images and prices. Customers or staff tap to add items, adjust quantities, then either enter the shipping address directly or generate a QR code for the customer to fill in on their own phone.
